OUR MISSIONS

Our goal is to reconnect children and their families in a richer, more practical way with the environment they live in, in order to:

  • Promote outdoor activities
  • And encourage them to discover their socio-professional environment

All year round, on Wednesdays, weekends and school holidays, the members of our association participate in activities connected with the sea.

Depending on the weather conditions, one or more groups take part in sailing, kayaking, sand yachting, stand up paddling, surfing and even sea fishing. Others set off to discover the Pays Bigouden and the Cap Sizun.

The children take part in workshops at Haliotika, Le Guilvinec’s sea fishing discovery centre, discover the Aquashow’s aquarium and bird show and visit the region’s lighthouses and museums. One of our partners, Le Guilvinec’s maritime high school, provides fishing-related activities such as knot-tying.

Our members discover the region’s local economy, such as farming, wooden house construction, shipbuilding and fishing.

This exciting adventure is open to holidaymakers during the summer in the form of a watersports centre, offering activities throughout the region of Ouest Cornouaille.

The profit made during this period helps to finance our activity throughout the year, including our many outings, camping trips, expeditions, and equipment. This equipment is then made available to our association’s members all year round.

Our association has acquired watersports equipment and bicycles which are used throughout the year by Les Enfants de la Côte’s members. In exchange, the children contribute their time towards eco-citizen activities led by the association, such as cleaning beaches and accompanying younger children.
